KAIROS monthly online Winds of Change campaign update

Dear Friends,

KAIROS is honoured ‎to have Stephen Kakfwi as its guest speaker for this month’s Winds of Change online ‎campaign update on Thursday, January 14, 1:00-2:30 ET (Noon- 1:30 in Saskatchewan).  Mr. Kakfwi is President and CEO of Canadians for a New Partnership (cfnp.ca). The ninth Premier of the Northwest Territories and former President of the Dene Nation, Mr. Kakfwi is a residential school survivor and a long-time advocate for reconciliation through education.

Madame Justice Pamela Thomson from Redeemer Anglican Church in Toronto will bring our Network Update.

You will find the complete agenda at the bottom of this message.

KAIROS launched the Winds of Change campaign to implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action in October.  The first online campaign update was on December 10 and featured KAIROS Executive Director Jennifer Henry, and Jane Hubbard, the Director of Operations for the Legacy of Hope Foundation, which is co-sponsoring the Education for Reconciliation action on Call to Action 62.i

These campaign updates are open to all and you are encouraged to share this invitation. We are particularly hoping to reach church regional staff and local KAIROS group leaders in your network.  By pooling our collective experience and expertise we are hoping these monthly electronic gatherings will enhance the campaign’s reach and effectiveness by providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and strategize about next steps.

To continue receiving these invitations please reply to Katy Quinn at kquinn@kairoscanada.org.   Only those who reply will receive the link and phone number to connect, as well as the next invitation.   Additional updates are scheduled for February 11, March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 16.
