Honouring the 30th anniversary of the Apology to Aboriginal Peoples

In August 1986 the United Church offered a formal apology to Aboriginal peoples for the church’s role in colonization. Thirty years later, we invite you and your congregation to honour both that moment and our continuing journey into living out that apology. Please consider setting aside time in worship and beyond for a tie of remembering, reflection, and recommitment.

The national church has prepared excellent reflection and worship resources, available for download at the bottom of this page:

The annual meeting of Conference will have a time of remembering and commitment on Friday June 3rd at 2:00PM and will be honoured to have representatives from the All Native Circle Conference in the court. Your prayers and good thoughts at this time are most welcome.
